A portrait of various people that come across a lost and found office.
REVIEW
We can find the most precious meanings of everyday life in the most insignificant places, including the "Lost & Found" department in a small suburban train station in Japan. A reserved middle-aged man, Togashi, has been a dedicated but ordinary office worker at the Lost & Found for many years, ever since he lost his job and family. He believes that every kept item therein has its own spirit and will find its owner someday. Meanwhile, the brand new office worker, a young male, doesn't seem to value either his job at the train station or the lost items. As the story develops, the secret of Togashi will be revealed-why he started to work at the "Lost & Found" and why he is so emotionally involved with the lost objects. It also reveals the everyday lives of the other townspeople at the station, some of whom go to work or to school, have personal problems, and so on. The film shows brilliantly how their lives are closely intertwined with each other through their lost personal belongings.
