A sophisticatedly grotesque and highly stylized film that combines the genres of thriller, fantasy and sci-fi.
REVIEW
The most striking aspect of this film is that it is not a conventional type of animation, but is quite extraordinary, especially in its graphic dimensions. The animation is very 'cinematic' in that it captures a realistic sense of texture and spatiality, and also utilizes dynamic camera movement. This is to say that it conveys the multiple gaze-the gaze of the camera, the intruder, the victim, and the viewer. Just as the story depicts an anonymous intruder or predator in the underground of a dark city, who seems almost to be floating rather than walking, by invoking the sound of water, the sound effects also intensify a sense of fear of the place and the character. The plot of the story is mysterious: who is this predator, and why is he terrorizing these places?
