Selection Process
The Syracuse International Film Festival (syrfilm.com) has been conceived and organized by artists for artists and audiences interested in film and video as art forms. This festival will showcase all forms of expression in any genre or length made by artists of all ages, countries and ideologies.
A professional prescreening committee will screen all entries in their entirety. No one person will decide the fate of your submission. Films are selected strictly on the basis of quality as judged by the prescreening panels (local and international). Prescreeners view entries without knowledge of the entrant’s name or place of origin.
Notification:
Entrants whose work has been accepted will be notified by email on or around February 1, and should receive written confirmation by approximately February 10, 2009. The festival only notifies entrants whose works have been accepted for exhibition. Notification dates may be subject to change without notice.
Completion Date:
Projects are eligible if they were completed after January 01, 2007
Reviews of selected films will appear in the festival’s Commemorative Program Book.
